Our Philosophy
Our Athletic Association exists to organize and promote the development of respectful, faith-filled athletes through participation in sports. Fun and competitive, our athletic programs teach self-discipline, build self-confidence, and foster individual talents and team spirit through commitment. Crusader Athletics is open to all 5th through 8th Grade parish children actively enrolled in our religious education program or in our parish school. With an emphasis on Christian principles and good sportsmanship, St. Charles athletes compete in Basketball, Cheerleading, Track & Field, and Volleyball.
Introduction and Welcome
Welcome to St. Charles Parish Athletic Association “SCAA.” We are happy to present a copy of our Athletic Association Handbook to you. This booklet has been designed to help you know our Association better. We believe it is our responsibility to keep you accurately informed of the Association’s policies and procedures. This booklet is a summary of the principles for which we stand, the benefits to which you are entitled, and the obligations you assume as a participant in the St. Charles Parish athletic program. It is a pleasure to welcome new participants and extend best wishes to those who have been a part of the program.

Volunteer Requirement
Without parent volunteers, our sports programs would not be possible. Families are asked to commit approximately five hours per sport per athlete. This may vary depending on the number of participants in each sport. A family may request a buyout option of $250 per sport per athlete. Families will be contacted by the volunteer coordinator before each season begins. Once the volunteer schedule is established, it will be your duty to switch with someone if you cannot make your respective times and dates.
Coaching Requirements
Coaches requirements are delineated by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. Coaches play an important part in the development of the student/athlete under their charge. Coaches must conduct themselves as Christians at all times. They must cooperate and not interfere with or impede the school's educational program. Imprudent actions on the part of the coaches are subject to disciplinary action by the Principal/Pastor and the league Board of Control. If you are interested in becoming a coach at St. Charles, please read our requirements.
