Primary Grades at St. Charles
5K - 2nd Grade
St. Charles Parish School provides a Catholic education that enriches the spiritual, intellectual, social, moral, physical, and personal knowledge of students and guides them in the deepening of their relationship with Jesus Christ and living out their faith in the word.
Students are challenged to reach their personal potential and respond in service to others. Families in collaboration with our school and parish share in this educational ministry entrusted to us by Christ.
Curriculum
Students in the primary grades study mathematics, reading, writing, phonics, science, social studies and religion. All subjects are taught through a Catholic lens, integrating the Catholic world-view in all areas of the curriculum. In second grade students carefully prepare to receive the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.
First Sacraments at St. Charles
Second graders at St. Charles School receive preparation for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion during their regular religion classes and their supplementary Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Sessions.
School Parent Requirements for First Sacraments
There are several parent meetings and several pieces of paperwork that need to be attended to over the course of the Sacramental Year. Please see our First Sacraments page for further details.
